Home game!

I love home poker games. I just played the first one I've played in a while. 9 People. $10 buy-in. TOurnament style. Good structure. It was awesome. I won. $40 profit. Interesting hands...

Early on I raise with AQ and get one caller. Flop is Ace high. Caller, Justin, bets I raise. He calls. He bets on the turn also and I believe I raised. He calls. He bets small on the river and I call and he shows air. It was a good start. Later I get A-2 and flop top and bottom pair. One guy bets and anotehr guy calls and I raise enough to put both all in. They call and the guy with the larger of the two stacks, Jake, shows K-8 for middle pair. I say "no king" and he truns a king. The 2 on the river doesn't help me though it improves my losing hand.

Later I busted Jake and Yappo when I had KK and they had AK and AQ (and Daniel J. folded A2).

On the bubble I raised with 6-8s. Here I was trying to mix up my game and these players actually did fold so I decided "what teh hell. I have plenty of chips. One player, Kie called. I flopped a flush draw and he bet and I raised. I turned the flush and he bet again and I pushed all in instantly. He called and lost the hand.

Now we were in the money and I got KK again. I raised and got a call from Daniel. The flop was Q high. I bet the flop and he called. On the turn I put him all in. He called with Q8. TPSK. The turn had paired 4's on the board so I only needed to dodge a Q and I did. One player left.

Now it was just me and Kenny. Kenny hadn't been doing anything out of line which was a perfect way for him to play against the full table but heads up it was easy to grind into him. I had grinded him down a little and then I was dealt 4-7s on the button. He flat called and I checked. The flop brought a club draw and a 7 gave me middle pair. At this point I had him outchipped by maybe 5x. He bet and I pushed all in. He called with Q3, no clubs (pair of threes). The turn immediately gave me my flush and the river was also a club. GG I win $40 profit for me.

It was cool because the whole time people were referring to me as card shark and rounder and saying I was gonna take their money and I was glad to not dissapoint. I love home games.
